RACHEL EARNS RAVES FOR 42ND STREET AT OGUNQUIT PLAYHOUSE

The reviews are in, and once again Rachel receives raves for her performance as Dorothy Brock in 42ND STREET at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Ogunquit, Maine. Rachel is joined by the irrepressible Sally Struthers in a tap-happy production directed and choreographed by Randy Skinner, the creator of the Broadway revival and recent London smash hit.

Watch a fun interview with these two bright lights here.

“Rachel York is wonderful as diva Dorothy Brock. York’s vocal chops and talent (are) evident as she manages to bring nuance to what is essentially an evil diva role.” – Seacoast Online

“No, I didn’t forget to mention Rachel York. I just wanted to save the best for last. She is ridiculously blessed with exemplary talents. Her singing is uncanny. With pinpoint precision, she can effortlessly place her notes, her words, her breaths, her style, her technique, exactly where she wants them. She plays a star because she is a star.” – Journal Tribune

“York is a luminous presence as the attention-demanding diva of the show-within-the-show. As her character begins to reveal more of a sensitive side, York lends her considerable star power to such numbers as ‘I Only Have Eyes For You’ and ‘About a Quarter to Nine.’ ” – Portland Press Herald

“Rachel York is a megawatt Broadway star at the top of her game. An ultra-glam York is every bit the star she portrays in the show, and nails her signature numbers – ‘Shadow Waltz,’ ‘You’re Getting to be a Habit with Me,’ and ‘I Only Have Eyes for You.’ ” – Theater Mirror

“York brings out the duality of Brock’s personality, deliciously capturing her fiery, don’t-tread-on-me side, and morphing into the warmer woman in love. She wows in Dorothy’s anguished ‘I Only Have Eyes for You.’ ” – BroadwayWorld/Boston
